--History--
Older brother Wm. Ed was licensed first as KN9PSR, currently K9PSR.
Father, Ed, got his ticket next as KN9QFW, then K9QFW.  Now SK.
I was licensed as WN9HMN in March 1963.  Used a Heathkit Cheyenne transmitter and Hammarlund HQ-170 receiver.
Upgraded from Novice to Technicial class in June 1964 as WA9HMN and played with 40 CW and 6 meter AM a bit.  Worked all TVs on 6m.
Took a leave of absence from Ham radio in the 60s and 70s to serve in the Army, go to college and pursue other interests.
Upgraded to Advanced in April 1981 and operated with a Kenwood TS-830 and a TET HB-34d tri-bander.  Great rig and antenna.
Upgraded to Extra in June 2000.   Also obtained a First Class radiotelephone license and later a General radiotelephone license.
